More than 40 artists displayed art and culture of 12 States, 1 Union Territory and 1 Community. The vibrant program showcased rich heritage and diversity of India on 8th July. The event was organised by Sanskriti Centre for Cultural Excellence at the Nehru Centre, Cultural Wing of High Commission of India.

The program started with tributes to Sindhu civilisation (Indus Valley Civilisation) and electrifying performance of Sindhi singer Renu Gidoomal. People were very pleased to hear the best wishes received from honourable Chief Ministers of Manipur, Goa and Meghalaya, and hon’ble Minister for Tribal Affairs Shri Arjun Mundaji for this edition of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations in London.Several rare and unique dances delighted the packed auditorium of attendees.Naati dance presented by the team from British Himachali Society was part of this prestigious programme, and was received well by audiences.

Performers researched and ensured that the costumes represented traditional Himachal. The 'devta palki' was specifically handmade for the performance.
