It is the mother of martial arts of the world. Kalaripayattu is considered to be the oldest martial arts technique in the world. This art originated in the state of Kerala in South India. It is believed that Kalaripayattu was created by Lord Shiva himself and he passed on the knowledge of this art to Saptarishi Agastya who with the help of this art developed Southern Kalaripayapattu.
